Programs

Music Lessons and Band Rehearsals
The lesson scheduling is based on numbers of students, instrumentation and level. Normally, beginning students receive half hour sectional group lessons once a week and a band rehearsal dependent upon enrollment. If you already have a program with intermediate and advanced students we can also provide band rehearsals. Beginners start in fourth grade.

Newsletters
Band For Today sends home six newsletter a year to help the student and parent by keeping them informed about current band events and educational articles

Band For Today E-News
In addition to the regular newsletter, Band For Today sends E-News to parents. Using E-mail is another way to keep communications strong and to send additional articles and links to parents.

Progress Reports
Progress Reports go out twice a year to keep parents informed of their child’s progress. Parents also have access to teacher’s e-mails so they may contact them at any time to find out more.

Jazz Ensembles
Some of our schools have jazz ensembles. This is another great way for students to learn a new style of music. These jazz bands perform at school concerts and other venues like Navy Pier.

Kane County Cougars Performance
Every year our band students are invited to perform the Star Spangled Banner at a Kane County Cougars baseball Game. This is a fun, family event. The students play in front of thousands of fans and after the performance, go back in the stands and sit with their families to watch great minor league baseball. Music, food, families, fireworks, and baseball. What a great combination!
